The Eight Bells, now under the ownership of a Jevington family, is a welcoming country pub in the historic downland village of Jevington.
The pub is over 300 years old, and sits at the heart of the village high above Eastbourne in the South Downs National Park. It is on the South Downs Way and near to Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters Country Park. We serve local ales and seasonal food and offer a large and well presented garden, which includes a barn and sheltered terrace for dining, with lovely views of the South Downs.
We have recently undergone a renovation, you will notice a nice new floor which IB flooring kindly fitted for us. We opted for Karndean flooring for its anti-slip properties so you don't go dropping your beer over someone elses on the floor, hope you like it!
We are proud of our tradition of supporting live music at the Eight Bells and recently we were delighted to welcome the the young Gypsy Jazz sensation, Antoine Boyer, playing for the first time in the UK.
